Natalie Shuttleworth is a highly responsible and motivated paralegal with a passion for the criminal defense field. A native of Lebanon, Ohio, she graduated magna cum laude from Lebanon High School, as a member in the National Honor Society and received several Scholar Athlete awards. Natalie then moved to Louisville, Kentucky to pursue her academic ambitions at the University of Louisville, where she graduated a year early in 2022, summa cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science. During her time at the University of Louisville, Natalie was very dedicated to her studies and was involved in the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity. As an active member, she served the community and held various leadership roles, developing organizational and time management skills that continue to be instrumental in her current role as a paralegal.

Natalie’s journey into the legal field began with an internship at the Warren County Common Pleas Court. Witnessing court proceedings and understanding the operations of probation departments firsthand enhanced her knowledge of court procedures, a valuable asset in her current position in criminal defense. Joining the Joslyn Law Firm, Natalie initially worked as a paralegal for two attorneys in the Cincinnati and Dayton offices while physically based in the Columbus office. Leveraging her familiarity with specific counties and court personnel in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas, she effectively managed various paralegal duties, ultimately leading her to become the head paralegal for Brian Joslyn, the role she currently holds today.

In her role at the Joslyn Law Firm, Natalie serves as the primary point of contact for clients and maintaining regular communication with court personnel. Juggling multiple tasks effortlessly, she manages a variety of client case files and plays a crucial role in the timely filing of legal motions and documents. Natalie ensures that clients and their files are diligently prepared for court hearings, offering support and answers to alleviate the stress clients may be experiencing.
